Spraying & Industrial Coatings

Commercial spray painting and industrial coatings across the North East.

Asset Access applies protective and decorative coatings to commercial buildings and industrial structures where they stand, from cladding and window frames to steelwork and roofs. Our crews are IRATA trained and led by a Level 3, so elevations and structures at height can be sprayed without waiting for scaffold.

01 - Service Detail

Specialist access for North East buildings.

We plan the access method, inspection route and repair sequence around the building, the defect and the disruption risk.

Commercial spraying for buildings that stay open

Offices, hotels, retail units and apartment blocks rarely have the option of closing while the outside is refinished. We spray cladding, frames, doors and facade panels in place, phasing elevations so entrances stay usable and screening each area against drift. Sound materials keep their fixings and weatherproofing; only the finish changes.

Protective coatings for steelwork, roofs and facades

Industrial coatings are there to protect as much as to look right. On exposed steel, roof sheets and facades we remove loose rust and failed paint, treat what lies underneath and build up a coating system suited to the surface and how exposed it is. If a roof or facade needs repairing first, the same team carries that out before any coating goes on.

Facades exposed to coastal and city weather
Defects repaired before anything is sprayed

Rope access puts the spray gun where it is needed

Upper elevations, high steel and roof edges are where most spraying contractors call for scaffold or a large platform. Our technicians rig from roof anchors and work down each drop, masking and spraying as they go, with wind checked throughout because overspray travels further at height. It also suits sites where a platform cannot be parked or a yard has to stay clear.

03 - How It Works

Clear process, practical output.

Coating survey

We identify each material, test how firmly the existing finish is holding and note corrosion, damp or damage that has to be dealt with first.

Prepare the substrate

Surfaces are washed, degreased and abraded, loose rust and flaking paint are removed, and bare areas are treated ready for priming.

Build the system

Primer and finish coats go on in controlled passes, with the drying time each product needs respected between coats.

Inspect the finish

Coverage and edges are checked, masking is cleared away and completed areas are photographed for your maintenance file.

04 - FAQs

Questions customers ask before booking.

What is the difference between commercial and industrial coatings?

Commercial spraying is mainly about appearance: refreshing cladding, frames and facades on offices, hotels and shops. Industrial coatings put protection first, guarding steelwork, roof sheets and structures against corrosion and weather. Many jobs need a bit of both, and preparation matters equally either way.

Can coatings be sprayed while our building stays open?

Usually, yes. We phase the work by elevation, keep entrances and fire exits clear, screen around each area and agree working hours so staff, guests or tenants are disturbed as little as possible.

Do you spray on site or take items away?

Everything is sprayed on site. Cladding, frames, steelwork and roof surfaces stay fixed in position, which avoids removal, transport and refitting and keeps the building weathertight throughout.

What weather do you need for spraying outdoors?

Dry surfaces, temperatures inside the limits set for the coating and wind low enough to control overspray. We monitor conditions on the day and will pause rather than apply a coating that cannot cure properly.
