Rope access technician working on a window frame high up a glazed city building

uPVC Spraying Newcastle

Commercial uPVC spraying in Newcastle, including frames several floors up.

When the windows and doors on a commercial building still work but look faded, discoloured or off-brand, spraying them in place is a quicker route to a new look than replacement. Asset Access resprays uPVC frames on offices, apartment blocks, schools, hotels and shopfronts across Newcastle, reaching upper floors by rope access.

01 - Service Detail

Specialist access for Newcastle buildings.

We plan the access method, inspection route and repair sequence around the building, the defect and the disruption risk.

Colour changes for refurbishments and rebrands

Owners often want frames to match new cladding, a refurbished entrance or an updated brand. Respraying sound uPVC achieves that without removing glazing units, disturbing internal finishes or waiting on manufacturing lead times. Where frames are warped, units have misted or hardware has failed, we flag it, since a coating does not fix mechanical faults.

Apartment blocks, schools, offices and hotels

We work for managing agents, facilities teams, owners of managed residential blocks and businesses. Every building type brings its own constraints, from residents at home during the day to pupils on site in term time and guests sleeping late. Working hours, access routes and the order of elevations are set around those constraints before anything is masked.

Recolouring a full elevation from ropes

Ground-based sprayers stop at ladder height, which leaves the upper storeys of most commercial buildings untouched. Our technicians descend each drop, masking glass, gaskets and the surrounding facade before spraying, so a whole elevation finishes in one consistent colour without scaffold tying up the footpath.

03 - How It Works

Clear process, practical output.

Agree colour and phasing

We confirm the colour reference, which frames and doors are included and the order elevations will be worked in.

Wash and key the frames

Traffic film, silicone and polish residues are removed and the uPVC is lightly abraded so the primer can grip.

Mask to the glass line

Glazing, gaskets, handles and adjoining brick, render or cladding are masked tight to the frame edge.

Spray, de-mask and check

Primer and colour coats are applied in light passes, masking is lifted carefully and each frame is checked before we move on.

04 - FAQs

Questions customers ask before booking.

Can uPVC window spraying be done while residents or staff are inside?

Yes. Exterior spraying is carried out from outside, so occupants only need to keep nearby windows shut while frames are masked and coats dry. We give notice of which elevation is being worked on each day.

Is uPVC door spraying practical on busy entrances?

Yes, with planning. Entrance and communal doors are sprayed when footfall is lowest, often early or out of hours, and we agree with you how the entrance will be managed while each coat dries.

Do we need consent before changing frame colours?

It depends on the building. Leaseholders usually need freeholder approval, and listed buildings or conservation areas may need permission for a colour change. A trial on a single frame can help when presenting the choice.

How durable is a sprayed finish on commercial uPVC?

It depends mainly on preparation, the coating system chosen for plastic, exposure and how the frames are cleaned afterwards. We do not shortcut cleaning and keying, because that is where most failures start, and we explain aftercare at handover.
