What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. Some are needed for a site to work. Others help the owner understand how the site is used. This page explains what Asset Access UK Ltd uses on this website.
Your choice
Analytics cookies are only set if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. If you decline, or ignore the banner, none are set. You can change your mind at any time: .
What we use
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
aa-cookie-consent | Necessary (browser storage, not a cookie) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we don't ask on every page. | Until you clear your browser data |
_ga | Analytics (Google Analytics), only with consent | Tells returning visitors apart from new ones so we can count visits accurately. | 2 years |
_ga_WCPJBKJQR4 | Analytics (Google Analytics), only with consent | Keeps track of your current visit, such as which pages you viewed. | 2 years |
What analytics tells us
With your consent, Google Analytics shows us how people find the site, which pages they read, and how many people call, email or send an enquiry. We use this to improve the website. We don't use it for advertising and we don't try to identify individual visitors.
Our hosting provider also gives us aggregated visitor counts that don't use cookies and don't identify you.
Other ways to control cookies
- Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies for any website.
- Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on all websites.
